I've been selling on Squarespace for a while now and one thing has always driven me mad. There is no easy way to edit a large number of products at once. If you want to update your titles, change your prices, fix a typo across fifty listings or add tags to your whole catalogue, you have to go into each product individually and do it by hand. It takes forever.
I spent a long time searching for a tool that would fix this. I found a few options but they were either expensive, complicated to set up, required giving third party apps access to your store, or just didn't do what I needed. So in the end I just decided to build one myself.
I want to be upfront about something. I am not a software company. I'm a Family run small business operation based in Blackwood, South Wales. I make handmade personalised gifts, laser engraved wooden products, and original music. Building a web tool was not exactly on my to do list. But the problem was annoying enough that I sat down and figured it out anyway.
What it does
The Retrosheep Bulk Product Editor is a single file that runs entirely in your browser. There is nothing to install. You don't connect it to your store or hand over any API keys. You just export your product CSV from Squarespace, drop it into the tool, make your changes, and export it back out ready to re-import.
Here's what you can do with it right now:
Edit product titles and descriptions across your whole catalogue at once. Find and replace text anywhere in your titles in seconds. Bulk update prices with percentage increases, fixed adjustments, or set a specific price across selected products. Add or update tags across multiple products simultaneously. Edit your SEO meta titles and descriptions with character counters so you can see exactly when you're going over the limit. Filter your products by category, price range and stock status so you're only looking at what you need. Export everything, just your selected products, or only the ones you've changed.
It runs offline. Nothing is stored anywhere. Nothing is sent anywhere. Your product data stays on your computer the whole time.

Honestly, once I'd built it for myself I thought there must be other Squarespace sellers pulling their hair out with the same problem. It seemed a shame to keep it to myself.
