Right, I'll be honest with you. I didn't set out to become "the sock person." It sort of happened by accident — I started knitting a pair for myself one winter because shop-bought socks just weren't cutting it, went through them in about six weeks, and thought, hang on, I can do better than this.

So I did. And then someone spotted them and asked where I got them, and that was that. Fast forward a fair few years and I'm sat here most evenings with wool in my lap, working through colour combinations that nobody else on earth has got, because every single pair is knitted one at a time, by hand, in my studio here in South Wales.

I'm not a big store, I'm one person — an artist, really, and a mechanical engineer by trade before that. I've always just loved making things, and that stretches a lot further than socks. Same studio, same pair of hands, does everything from soft cuddly knitwear to actual metal welding, and I use lasers and 3D printers alongside the needles for a good chunk of what I make too. It's a proper mixed bag, but it's all made by me, right here.

Why I'm telling you this now

Because stock genuinely runs low fast. When a colourway's knitted up and sold, that particular mix doesn't come back — I'm not sat on a warehouse full of identical socks, it's just me, needles, and whatever wool I've got in that week. A few of my favourites have already sold out and people have been asking me to get more, which I can't always do the exact same way twice.

If you've been meaning to grab a pair, or fancy treating someone to something that isn't just another mass-produced multipack from the supermarket, now's genuinely a good time to have a look while there's still a decent bit of choice.

What people say after they've worn them

I'm not one for pushing reviews down anyone's throat, but the feedback that means the most to me is when people come back and say the socks are still going strong months later — no bobbling, no holes in the heel after a fortnight, none of that. That's the whole point of doing it properly by hand rather than rushing a batch through a machine.
