How to Use Viking Runes

The Elder Futhark consists of 24 runes, while the Younger Futhark has 16 runes.
Cleansing and Bonding:
Before using your runes, cleanse them energetically.

Shuffling or Casting:
There are various ways to cast the runes:

Rune Wheel:

Single Rune Draw: Randomly select one rune from the set.

Draw the Runes:
If using a bag, draw one rune without looking.

The set contains 25 runes the 24 Elder Futhark runes plus a blank rune, traditionally used to represent the unknown or the unformed. The Elder Futhark is the oldest and most widely used runic alphabet, used by Norse and Germanic peoples for writing, divination, protection and communication with the gods. According to Norse legend, Odin himself hung from Yggdrasil the tree of the world for nine days and nights without food or water, sacrificing himself to himself to gain knowledge of the runes.
