Watch icebreaker ships tear through the frozen heart of the Arctic in the official music video for "The Great Northern Pass" by Retrosheep — now streaming early, exclusively for our members, ahead of its YouTube premiere.

Filmed entirely from a sweeping bird's-eye perspective, this video follows the mighty icebreakers as they carve their way through the vast, frozen shipping lanes of the Great Northern Pass. It's a visual journey into one of the most hostile trade routes on Earth — where sailors battle brutal seas, crushing ice fields, and freezing winds to keep the world's goods moving.

Along the way, the camera captures the wild, untouched beauty of the Arctic: whales surfacing beside the hulls, polar bears watching from the ice, and ships smashing through endless white fields before finally reaching port — where the crew celebrates having survived the crossing.

"The Great Northern Pass" is one of our favourite videos we've ever made, built to match the scale and atmosphere of the track itself. Music and video both written, composed and produced by Retrosheep.
