Rollin' with the Baarmy — Official Baarmy Army Sheep Soldiers Theme | Retrosheep

THE FLOCK HAS ITS ANTHEM

Baarmy Army Sheep Soldiers

Baarmy Army Sheep Soldiers

Every army needs a theme. Every movement needs a soundtrack. Every squad of misfit woolly Welsh soldier sheep needs a banger they can blast on the march — helmets on, tails wagging, hooves thundering across the rolling hills of South Wales in perfect chaotic formation.

That track is now here.

Rollin' with the Baarmy — the official theme song of the Baarmy Army Sheep Soldiers — dropped on the 16th of March 2026, and it is exactly what the flock deserves. Bold, bouncy, full of attitude, and dripping with that signature Retrosheep energy that sits somewhere between a military march, a Welsh anthem, and a tune you absolutely cannot stop nodding your head to. This is the soundtrack to a squad of gloriously unhinged sheep soldiers rolling out on a mission, and it doesn't apologise for a single second of it.

You can stream it right now at retrosheep.com/retrosheep-music/v/rollin-with-the-baarmy, and you can grab the MP3 download to own it forever at retrosheep.com/shop/p/rollinwiththebaarmy.

WHAT IS THE BAARMY ARMY?

If you're new here — welcome, you're in for a treat. The Baarmy Army Sheep Soldiers is one of the most gloriously original character universes to come out of South Wales, and it lives entirely at Retrosheep.

The concept is exactly what it sounds like and also absolutely nothing like what you'd expect. These are sheep soldiers — a full cast of unique, fully developed characters, each with their own backstory, personality, hometown, and particular flavour of woolly chaos. They are Welsh. They are proud. They are ready for battle. And they are, without question, the best military unit ever assembled from the valleys, mountains, coastlines, and cities of Cymru.

Every character in the Baarmy Army has been given a proper origin — a Welsh location, a personal history, a role in the squad. This isn't clip art with a beret slapped on. This is a genuine cast. Let's meet them.

MEET THE BAARMY ARMY — THE FULL CAST

Woolbert — Hailing from the rolling hills of Snowdonia, Woolbert is the friendly heart of the squad. When he's not on the battlefield, you'll find him knitting woolen items for his fellow soldiers. A talented woolsmith and genuinely lovely bloke. The kind of soldier who makes you a scarf before a winter campaign.

WOOLBERT

Rambo — From the rugged mountains of the Brecon Beacons, Rambo is tough, fearless, and always first over the ridge. He leads the charge with unwavering courage and absolutely no hesitation. Named appropriately. Does not knit.

RAMBO

RAMBO

Fleece — The clever and resourceful one, straight out of Cardiff. Fleece is the problem-solver of the unit — the sheep you want next to you when things go sideways and you need someone who can think on four hooves under pressure.

Baa-tholomew — AKA BAARNEY The wise elder of the Baarmy Army, from the historic town of Conwy. He's been in the army for decades, seen it all, and is always ready with sage advice. The kind of soldier who knows exactly what's coming before it arrives, and has a plan for it.

Baa-tholomew

Ewe-nique — The creative genius, operating from her studio in the bohemian town of Hay-on-Wye. Ewe-nique designs the uniforms and accessories for the whole team, bringing glamour and style to a unit that might otherwise turn up to battle looking completely uncoordinated. The Baarmy Army looks good. That's Ewe-nique's doing.

Lambchop — The life and soul. From Aberystwyth, where he learned to surf, Lambchop is the energy that keeps the troops going when the going gets grim. Always motivated, always entertaining, always the last one to stop dancing after a successful mission.

LAMBCHOP

Bleatsie — From the tranquil countryside of Monmouthshire, Bleatsie is the nervous one — panics at the slightest sound of danger, but pulls through every single time with the help of her comrades. Possibly the most relatable member of the entire squad.

THE BAARMY ARMY

Mutton — The muscle. From the rugged hills of the Black Mountains. Mutton specialises in hand-to-hand combat and is the one you want standing between you and whatever is coming over that hill. Built differently. Fights accordingly.

Shearlock — The resident detective from historic Caernarfon. Sharp, observant, always on the lookout for clues. Solves the mysteries, uncovers the hidden information, and figures out what everyone else has missed. Shearlock sees everything.

Wooled — The fastest and most agile member of the Baarmy Army, from the picturesque village of Llangollen. Reconnaissance and scouting are Wooled's domain. By the time you know Wooled has been past, Wooled is already three fields away and filing the report.

Dolly — From the Brecon Beacons. Brave, tenacious, never backs down from a challenge. Dolly became a soldier after defending her flock from a pack of wolves and has been fighting with fierce determination ever since. Do not underestimate Dolly.

Baa-tilda — A skilled strategist from the lush valleys of Snowdonia. Always one step ahead of the enemy. The brains behind the operation, working out angles nobody else has considered.

Ewegene — Born in Cardiff, charismatic and outgoing, beloved by the entire regiment. Joined the army to see the world and make a difference. Uses charm and wit to rally the troops and boost morale when it matters most.

Baarney — A gentle giant from the rugged coastline of Pembrokeshire. Compassionate, always puts others first. Became a soldier after rescuing a stranded hiker and never looked back. Uses his size and strength to protect his comrades. The squad's unofficial big brother.

Welly — From the misty moors of the Isle of Anglesey. A sharpshooter with a steady hand and a keen eye, Welly joined after winning a local shooting competition at the fair. The one you want watching your flank.

WELLY

Baashful — The shy, introverted one who prefers to stay in the background — but quietly, consistently one of the most valuable members of the team. You don't always see Baashful coming. That's entirely the point.

THE SONG — WHAT TO EXPECT

Rollin' with the Baarmy captures the spirit of this whole magnificent, ridiculous, brilliant universe in music form. It's an anthem in the truest sense — the kind of track that immediately makes you feel like you're part of something. It has energy and bounce, it has attitude, and it has that underlying warmth that runs through everything in the Retrosheep world — the sense that this is a place where the misfits, the underdogs, the people who don't quite fit the standard mould, are not just tolerated but actively celebrated.

The Baarmy Army is a Welsh institution. They come from all corners of the country — Snowdonia, the Brecon Beacons, Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, Anglesey, Conwy, Hay-on-Wye, Aberystwyth, Llangollen, Monmouthshire, Caernarfon, the Black Mountains. They represent every Welsh landscape. They each carry their own story. And now they have their own anthem, produced by Retrosheep from Blackwood, South Wales, with the same independent spirit and love of craft that runs through everything in this shop.
