Let's be honest: e-bike accessories are a minefield. You search "Urlife T2 phone holder," and the internet hands you a bulky clamp designed for a bike that isn't yours, a case that fogs up the second British weather does its thing, or — our personal favourite — "universal fit," which is corporate speak for "fits nothing properly."

So we did what any reasonable, slightly obsessed pair of e-bike tinkerers would do. We designed our own. We printed it. We rode round the South Wales valleys in pitch black to test it. And now it's yours.
The Problem With Your Handlebars
The Urlife T2's Bike Box is great — until you try to actually mount a phone to it for navigation. Most third-party holders either don't fit the Bike Box at all, or they clamp on like they're trying to arrest your phone rather than hold it. And if you're running a proper rugged phone (the kind that laughs in the face of rain), the last thing you want is to bury it inside a case that steams up the second you need to check your route.
We wanted something that just... worked. Clean fit, secure hold, no fog, no faff.
Enter: The Retrosheep x Devmods Bike Box Phone Holder
This one's a genuine collab — designed by Devmods (@audio-dev), tested and refined with Retrosheep, and built on a real Urlife T2, not just eyeballed in a CAD program and hoped for the best.
A few reasons it actually works:
It's flexible on purpose. The file's built for TPU filament, because TPU flexes just enough to grip your phone securely and let go when you want it to. Print this in rigid PLA and you'll have a very expensive paperweight.
It's an open mount, not a case. Great for rugged, waterproof phones that don't need hiding away — no more squinting at a foggy map through plastic.
It's a two-part print with pre-drilled holes for heat-set inserts, so you get a proper mechanical fixing instead of screws chewing straight into plastic.
It takes about 6 hours to print, both parts combined, so you can start it before bed and wake up to a finished mount (and possibly some questions from housemates about the printer noise).
One bonus tip from us: we actually flipped the Bike Box itself around on the bike, so it opens from the front instead of the factory orientation. Turns out it not only fits and functions better — it makes the bike look sharper too. Small change, disproportionately smug results.

A 3D-printable phone mount purpose-built for the URLIFE T2 e-bike's Bike Box — designed after struggling to find a holder that actually fit. This is an open TPU mount, not an enclosed case, so it clips straight onto the Bike Box without a bulky third-party clamp or a cover that fogs up your screen mid-ride.
Developed in collaboration between Devmods (@audio-dev) and Retrosheep, and tested on a real URLIFE T2 e-bike setup rather than only modelled on screen.
Why this mount works:
Flexes to grip, not snap. Designed specifically for TPU filament — its flex is what lets the mount grip and release your phone. Printing in rigid PLA or PETG will not work correctly.
Adapts to your phone size. Fit against the Bike Box is set by the printed holder's length relative to your phone, so it isn't a single fixed mould.
Built around large, rugged phones. An open mount rather than an enclosed case, so waterproof phones (Doogee-style rugged models) stay visible and fog-free for navigation.
Proper fixing, not screwed into plastic. Both parts include pre-drilled holes for heat-set inserts, giving a secure, reusable fixing point.
Two parts, ~6 hours total print time, resulting in a mount that holds firm on rough roads once fitted.
