About This Service

This listing is the general booking for Retrosheep's laser engraving service — used when your request doesn't fit one of the standard shop items, such as a personal object you already own, your own design or artwork, a business logo, or a piece needing more detail than a standard product allows.

Engraving is available on wood, metal, glass, acrylic and leather. Most personalised gifts are engraved onto home-grown Welsh wood that's been air-dried and hardened for two years before it's touched by the laser, giving a dense, natural finish that lasts. Metal, glass and leather pieces are engraved on request, depending on the item and design.

Pricing is charged per hour of engraving time, starting from £25. Once you get in touch, Cher will look over your design, text or logo, confirm the material and size are workable, and send back a clear quote — there's no obligation to proceed until you're happy with the price. Every commission is treated as a genuine one-off, made by hand in the Blackwood workshop rather than produced as part of a batch.

Finished pieces are dispatched UK-wide via Royal Mail tracked delivery. PayPal payments clear instantly so work can begin straight away; card payments through Stripe can take up to five days to clear, so it's worth avoiding next-day delivery if paying by card.
