Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams is a Nickelodeon action platformer aimed at younger players, following on from the original Tak and the Power of Juju. You play as Tak, a young shaman-in-training tasked with collecting Dream Crystals and battling Nightmare creatures across nine colourful environments.

The gameplay mixes platforming and light combat with a Juju magic system Tak can possess animals, transform, brew Juju potions and use an expanding arsenal of tribal weapons including the Bolas and the Dream Shaker. It's accessible and good-humoured, pitched squarely at the 612 age range, with a multiplayer "Dinky Games" mode where up to two players can face off in a handful of mini-game challenges.

A solid, unpretentious pick-up for young PS2 players similar territory to the Crash Bandicoot and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games of the same era.
