A mint copy of one of the most tightly constructed volumes in the entire Blade of the Immortal series and it has never been read. Placed in a protective sleeve the moment it was purchased and untouched ever since. Pages crisp, spine uncracked, cover flawless. Preserved by a collector, for a collector.
Why this volume stands out:
The Gathering II picks up exactly where Volume 8 left off, and Samura structures it in two clean halves Manji's brutal confrontation through to its conclusion, then Rin's desperate and dangerous attempt to pass through the Shogun's checkpoints alone to pursue Anotsu. Falsely implicated in a savage murder, hunted by the authorities, and separated from Manji, Rin has never been more vulnerable and Samura has never made her more compelling. It's one of the most suspenseful sequences in the whole series.
The original Dark Horse single-volume 1st editions are out of print and increasingly scarce in this condition.
