The third entry in Namco's flagship light gun series, and the most mechanically ambitious of the PS2 trilogy. Time Crisis 3 builds on the solid foundations of TC2 with a significant addition: a weapon select system. For the first time in the series, you can switch between four different weapon types while taking cover handgun, shotgun, assault rifle, and grenades turning each encounter into a quick tactical decision as well as a shooting challenge. It changes the pacing considerably and gives the game a distinct identity from its predecessors.

The cover mechanic remains the same satisfying loop: duck behind obstacles to reload and plan, step out to fire. Three stages, each with multiple sections, and a branching path system that gives you some control over the route you take through the game. Rescue Mission mode adds a separate challenge layer with its own scenarios, and split-screen two-player co-op is supported with two GunCon 2 controllers.

Also compatible with the older GunCon 45 (from the original Time Crisis) if you have one to hand, though GunCon 2 gives the better experience.

A solid addition to any PS2 light gun setup pairs naturally with Time Crisis II, also available in our shop.
