Worms Forts: Under Siege is the castle-building spin-off in Team17's classic turn-based series and one of the most overlooked entries in the franchise. Rather than the flat landscape warfare of classic Worms, Forts adds a whole new layer: before the battle even starts, you build your fortifications. Towers, walls, catapults and battlements are all constructed and upgraded during play, turning each match into as much a siege game as a weapons game.

The core Worms formula is intact hilarious weaponry, turn-based tactical combat, the iconic voices and sound effects but the fort-building mechanic genuinely changes how you play. Attacking an enemy's structure strategically while protecting your own adds a depth that the mainline games don't have. There are 30 weapons available with multiple upgrades, and four distinct historical settings to battle through: Ancient Egypt, Greco-Roman, Feudal Japan and Medieval Arthurian each with its own worm theme, fort style and visual design.

Single-player campaign plus multiplayer for up to 4 players locally. An excellent, underappreciated entry in the Worms library and a great sofa multiplayer game.
