XGRA: Extreme G Racing Association PS2 | XG3 | PlayStation 2 | Acclaim | 2003 | Futuristic Racing | Weapons | PAL UK
Confirmed working tested before listing. Complete with manual. Case in excellent condition.
Futuristic weapons-based racing set in the year 2080, and the fourth and final entry in Acclaim's Extreme-G series. If WipeOut or F-Zero ever left you wanting more aggression and chaos, XGRA delivers gravity bikes hitting speeds that break the sound barrier (at 750mph the game goes eerily silent) while you blast rivals off loop-filled tracks with lasers, mines and rockets.
The career mode the 2080 Season is structured like a proper motorsport championship. You sign for a team, chase sponsor contracts, and work through five classes of competition, each with different race types thrown in to keep things fresh. Peacekeeper races strip your weapons and force you to race clean. Warmonger races add gun turrets to the track itself. Extreme weather events mess with your handling. It keeps changing the rules just as you've settled in.
Eight teams with distinct handling, signature weapons and sponsor histories. Unlock faster bikes by winning championships or completing mid-race side objectives. Arcade and Time Trial modes round it out, both supporting two players.
A niche cult favourite for fans of the genre solid, fast and surprisingly deep for a game that rarely gets talked about.
